If you're looking to stream IPTV channels on your Roku, the Purple IPTV (Purple Smart TV) app offers a great solution — but since it’s not available in the Roku Channel Store, you’ll need to sideload it. This guide shows you exactly how to do that using the Purple Tools mobile app.

✅ What You’ll Need

  • Roku device (with remote)
  • Android or iOS device with Purple Tools app
  • Both devices connected to the same Wi-Fi
  • Roku’s IP address
  • Roku in Developer Mode (we’ll show you how)

📥 Download Purple Tools App

  2. The Developer Settings screen will appear.
  3. Enable Developer Mode and set a password.

  2. Purple Tools will scan your network for Roku devices.
  3. If your Roku isn't detected, tap Refresh and ensure both devices share the same Wi-Fi.
  4. Once detected, tap Select File and upload the package.

💻 Step 4: Complete the Sideload on Roku

  1. On your browser, enter the Roku IP address shown earlier.
  2. Log in with the Developer Mode password.
  3. Follow the prompts to finish installing the app.

🚀 Step 5: Access the Purple IPTV App

  1. Go to Settings > System > System Update > Check Now on Roku.

💡 Final Tips

  • Keep Developer Mode active — the sideloaded app won’t work if it’s turned off.
  • Use the Purple Tools app to sideload updates in the future.
  • Make sure both devices stay on the same Wi-Fi network throughout.
